freedom for california

Apparently I had a great need to spit on California in FEB 2005.  My feelings haven't changed but I've run out of spit.  Still, I've made some peace here.  My son and DIL have been happily married for just over a year.  The In-Laws and I have bonded to a degree of lunacy.  The other MIL and I email almost daily.  Besides I'm stuck here, willing to granny and nanny the grandchildren once some arrive.  Things could be much worse.  (California, as a State, still sucks to the max.)   As ever, God is good.

Californians will awaken to find that AOL and MSN have created more options for contact with others who are not subject to the Politically Correct talk and entrenched discrimination that is the standard for life in California.  Two governors in a row, Grey Davis and Ah-nold, might as well be the same man for all the differences in their approaches to seeing that civil rights, equal rights, garden-variety fairness are priorities in this state.  Minorities are (still) not welcome and this seems to be the standard code of conduct in governemnt, business, life.   Native Californians agree this standard has been the case for nearly 20 years.  New arrivals "get it" eventually, and can't wait to get out of here.
